NEW RIVERS EAST SENATOR PROMISES TO DRIVE CHANGE FOR RIVERS PEOPLE

Speaking in an interview with our correspondent JAMES IGAH after taking his seat in the Senate, Senator UCHENDU said the number of Rivers people who turned out for his inauguration is a challenge to do his best.
Rivers APC chieftains who thronged the National Assembly to witness the inauguration of Senator UCHENDU, including the State Secretary of the party, EMEKA BEKE, also told our correspondent their goal now is to clinch the Government House in the 2019 general election.
Our correspondent reports that Senator UCHENDU was sworn-in yesterday after taking the oath of office, as the Senate resumed plenary.
With his inauguration, Senator UCHENDU becomes the second APC senator from Rivers State, as he joins Senator MAGNUS ABE of Rivers South-East Senatorial District.
