The ship, which is being commanded by Captain ABOLADE OGUNLEYE, departed China on 21st of September on her maiden voyage to Nigeria.

At the Port of Luanda after departing Simon’s Port in South Africa, the naval vessel and her crew were received by the representative of the Chief of the Naval Staff, Rear Admiral IFEOLA MOHAMMED.
The Naval Officer said on joining the Nigerian Navy fleet, the ‘Man of War’ will help to consolidate on the successes in the fight against piracy, maritime crimes and other illegalities in Nigeria’s maritime domain up to the Gulf of Guinea.
