The Acting Director and Chairman of the NERC, ANTHONY AKAH, disclosed in a statement that such rights include the fact that all new electricity connections must be done strictly on the basis of metering.
It also provides that a customer who elects to procure meter under the Credited Advance Payment for Metering Implementation Scheme must be metered within sixty days.
The NERC also states that that it is the customer’s right to transparent electricity billing, notification ahead of disconnection and prompt investigation of complaints arising from the electricity service disruption.
