The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund, NELFUND, Akintunde Sawyerr, says demand for student loans under the scheme has been overwhelming.
Sawyerr stated this during an interview, noting that the student loan scheme has provided a lifeline for students who would otherwise struggle to finance their education.
He said NELFUND is currently analysing the growing demand and disbursement figures to better understand the financial requirements of the scheme.
Sawyerr added that the analysis would help the fund assess the level of resources needed to meet the increasing demand for student loans.
