This was made known by the Nigerian Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative in its quarterly report, which represents thirty-eight percent increased from the figures of the corresponding period for last year.
The report relied on data from the Federation Accounts and Allocation Committee; the National Bureau of Statistics; the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation, the Federal Ministry of Finance and the Debt Management Office.
A breakdown of the figures shows the Federal Government slicing off the biggest chunk of one point zero-nine trillion naira, while the thirty-six states shared nine hundred and twenty-three billion naira.
The seven hundred and seventy-four local government councils also had the sum of five hundred and forty-nine billion naira shared among them over the first six months of this year.
The report also documents a decline in revenue decline in terms of projected Federal Allocation disbursements, despite the thirty-eight percent increase in disbursements in the first half of this year.
