NDLEA to convict 10 in Rivers over drug offences.

The Public Relations Officer of the Rivers State Command of the NDLEA, EMMANUEL OGBUMGBADA, said all the convictions were secured at the Federal High Court in Port Harcourt.

 

 

In a statement obtained by our correspondent CHINEDU IWUNNA, the NDLEA spokesman also disclosed that the state command has rehabilitated twelve drug dependent persons within the period in review.

 

 

The statement further revealed that more than seventy-eight kilograms of hard drugs and other banned substances were seized by the NDLEA in Rivers State within the first three months of this year.

 

 

It quoted that State Commander of NDLEA, RECHEL SHELLENG advising the general public and relevant agencies to continue to support the fight against the use of hard drugs and abuse of psychotropic substances.
