The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has arrested a 48-year-old businessman, Nwankwo Onyebuchi, with 1.550 kilogrammes of cocaine concealed inside the walls and railings of his luggage at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.

The NDLEA Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, disclosed this in a statement.

Babafemi said Onyebuchi was arrested at the departure hall of Terminal Two of the airport while attempting to board a Qatar Airways flight to New Delhi, India.

According to him, a search of the suspect’s check-in luggage uncovered the cocaine, which had been factory-fitted into the walls and railings of the bag.

The agency said the suspect was subsequently taken into custody for further investigation into the attempted exportation of the illicit drug.
