Re-elected Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has directed the state’s Attorney General to withdraw the suit filed against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, over the freezing of the state government’s bank account.
Adeleke disclosed this while responding to questions on whether he was prepared to put his political disagreements with the Federal Government and the EFCC case behind him.
The governor said he had decided to move on following the intervention of President Bola Tinubu.
The EFCC had earlier secured an order freezing the Osun State Government’s account, a move Adeleke had challenged in court, describing the action as politically motivated and disruptive to the activities of his administration.
With the latest directive, the governor said his administration was prepared to move forward and focus on governance following the intervention.
