This was disclosed by the spokesman of the agency, Femi Babafemi in a statement.
Babafemi said the 41-year-old suspect was arrested on Wednesday, 25th August, 2021, upon his arrival on board an Ethiopian Airline from Kigali via Addis Ababa.
The suspect was taken in upon arrival for secondary check during which he tested positive to ingestion of illicit substance.
According to the statement, while under observation, the suspect excreted eight seven pellets of cocaine weighing one point eight-eight four kilograms.
In the meantime, the Chairman of the NDLEA, Buba Marwa has disclosed that over one hundred billion naira worth of hard drugs has been seized by the agency in the last six months.
