The NCC is also appealing to the Central Bank of Nigeria to make foreign exchange available to telecommunications operators as part of measures to cushion the situation.
The Executive Vice Chairman of the NCC, Professor UMAR DANBATTA said the Commission had written to the CBN and he showed willingness to address the foreign exchange needs of the operators.
DANBATTA gave these indications during an interactive session with Mobile Network Operators in Abuja yesterday, which focused on quality of service delivery.
He said all hands must be on deck for telecoms consumers to enjoy high quality of service, in line with the Commission’s declaration of 2017 as the year of the consumer.
