The Senate used to occasion to showcase its scorecard over the past two years, which includes the passage of ninety-six bills.
The Senate also considered seventy-two petitions during the same period, which is considered to be the highest ever in the history of the National Assembly.
The record only compares to the Senate of the Fifth National Assembly, which stood at sixty-five 65 bills passed and six petitions, within the same length of time.
The performance overview was given by the Senate President BUKOLA SARAKI in his valedictory speech.
Senator SARAKI noted that the commitment to greater openness and accountability, as well as leading from the frontline of the war against corruption, have saved the Federal Government billions of naira cumulatively.

Our correspondent reports that the Senate’s valedictory session was attended by national leaders of both the ruling APC and the main opposition PDP.
Some ministers, former presiding officers and members of the diplomatic community were also present.
