The Senate President, BUKOLA SARAKI confirmed receipt of the letter, just as the Speaker of the House of Representatives YAKUBU DOGARA also confirmed.
According to a statement released by the Special Advier to the President on Media and Publicity, FEMI ADESINA, President BUHARI’s notification is in fulfilment of relevant section of the 1999 Constitution.
The correspondence is in fulfilment of the constitutional requirement, based on which President BUHARI had also informed the lawmakers about his overseas medical vacation and the subsequent transmission of power to his Vice, Professor YEMI OSINBAJO.
After spending more than one hundred days in the United Kingdom, President BUHARI returned home on Sunday to a rousing welcome by his supporters.
