The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control has announced the seizure of counterfeit and substandard medicines during enforcement operations in parts of the country.
In a statement released on Monday, April 20, 2026, the agency said its surveillance teams discovered fake drugs in several open markets during routine inspections.
NAFDAC warned traders against dealing in unregistered pharmaceutical products and advised Nigerians to patronise only licensed outlets to safeguard public health.
