The demand by Governor WIKE was made through a statement released by his Special Assistant on Electronic Media, SIMEON NWAKAUDU, in which he accused the Police of acting a script written by the All Progressives Congress.
He said the police allegations are false, politically motivated and cooked to justify the violence purportedly visited on the people of Rivers State during the rerun.
On his part; the Commissioner for Information and Communication, AUSTIN TAM-GEORGE disclosed in a statement that the police allegations were shameful and reckless, adding that the police had embarked on a politically-driven mission to smear the image of Governor NYESOM WIKE.
