Inspector Ntibmouwei revealed from the witness box how the defendants, including Confidence Kirinee, also known as General Illa, Precious Mona, Loveday Legah, and Soniabari Sagha, dragged Muenalo Sunday into a forest in Zaapko, where they brutally killed him, chopping off his head and manhood.
According to the prosecution witness, after the murder, the suspects took the body parts to Gwara forest, where their shrine was located.
Mona, the second defendant, allegedly collected a ransom of ten thousand naira from the late pharmacist’s family and returned to the forest as instructed by their leader, General Illa.
Following the testimony, the trial Judge, Justice Augusta Kingsley-Chukwu, adjourned the case to March 26, 2024, for the continuation of the cross-examination of the prosecution witness.
It has been exactly five years since the pharmacist, Muenalo Sunday, was murdered.
The four suspected cultists, Kirinee, Mona, Legah, and Sagha, are facing charges of murder, cultism, kidnapping, and illegal possession of firearms.
