Mourinho’s Fenerbahce Overturn Two-Goal Deficit to Reach Champions League Playoffs

Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce have advanced to the Champions League qualifying playoffs after overturning a two-goal deficit against Robin van Persie’s Feyenoord on Tuesday.

The Turkish giants lost 2-1 in the first leg in the Netherlands but found their way back in the second leg of the third qualifying round despite falling further behind when Tsuyoshi Watanabe scored for Feyenoord in the 41st minute.

Mourinho’s men responded with two quick goals before halftime and went on to secure a 5-2 victory on the night, sealing a 6-4 aggregate win to progress to the next stage.
