Super Eagles B coach, Eric Chelle, has attributed his team’s heavy 4-0 loss to Sudan in their 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) encounter on Tuesday to costly mistakes.
Chelle’s side crashed out of the tournament after goals from Leonard Ngenge (own goal), Walieldin Khedr, and a brace from Abdel Raouf sealed victory for Sudan.
The defeat came after Nigeria’s 1-0 loss to Senegal in their opening game last week.
Speaking after the match, Chelle admitted his players’ errors proved decisive.
“We did a lot of mistakes and we gave up the game in the second half,” he said. “Four goals, four mistakes. We did a lot of mistakes in these two games [Senegal and Sudan].”
