MOSOP in a statement by the Secretary General of the Transitional Council Bariala Kpalap called on relevant stakeholders to allow the ongoing probe to be completed before raising more controversies.
The Ogoni group made the assertion following allegations against one of the members of the Interim Management Committee, Caroline Nagbo about embezzlement.
MOSOP in the statement noted that the accusation is already generating tension in Ogoniland and if not properly managed may escalate into a serious crisis that may be difficult to handle.
It noted that the issue of NDDC is not Ogoni specific and should not be a matter that should tear Ogoni people apart adding that Nagbo has consistently insisted on her innocence.
The statement also reiterated that MOSOP has not endorsed or made fresh nominations with regards to Ogoni representation on the organs of HYPREP.
