The MOSOP factional leader, MIKE NWIDOBIENWIDOBIE said consultation would enable the community and the construction company reach an agreement on alternative plans for people of Kaani people while the dredging is in progress.
NWIDOBIE maintained that the Kaani River is the major source of water for the community, adding that the planned dredging would affect water supply for the people.
MIKE NWIDOBIE also commended President MUHAMMDU BUHARI for the approval of the Governing Board and the Board of Trustees for the clean up of Ogoniland.
