Minister Wike Declares No Regrets for Supporting President Tinubu
Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), expressed unwavering support for President Bola Tinubu, stating he has no regrets about backing him during the 2023 general elections. Wike, who previously served as the governor of Rivers State for eight years under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), was appointed by President Tinubu as FCT Minister within the All-Progressive Congress (APC)-led Federal Government.
Speaking at a thanksgiving service organized by the PDP in Ahoada East and West Local Government Areas, Wike conveyed his gratitude to President Tinubu for placing his trust in him. Reflecting on the challenges he faced ahead of the elections, he revealed that he was subjected to threats for supporting Tinubu but reiterated his commitment, stating he would make the same decision if the opportunity arose again.
