The NLC’s President, Joe Ajaero, who made the call in Yola while chairing the ongoing North East Zonal Public Hearing on National Minimum Wage, said the market hearing should be conducted in all zones.
Ajaero explained that without the market hearing, the aim of the public hearing on minimum wage will be defeated.
According to him, citizens were facing difficulties as some workers had to pay at least a thousand naira for transport to work and there was need for the government to do something.
