The Minister of State for Aviation, HADI SIRIKA, gave this indication midway into the six weeks period earmarked for the project.
According to a statement circulated through email account of the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji LAI MOHAMMED, the Aviation Minister assured that work was going on smoothly.
The Information Minister said he was shown round the construction site by his Aviation counterpart, when he led a team of journalists to inspect the ongoing project.
The statement noted that an upgraded terminal for passengers’ comfort, in line with the protocol of the International Civil Aviation Organisation, would also be opened when work is completed after six weeks of closure of the airport.
