Former Super Eagles defender and football executive Michael Emenalo has stepped down from his role as Chief Football Executive of the Saudi Pro League following the expiration of his three-year contract.
Emenalo, who joined the league in 2023, played a key role in overseeing its football operations and player recruitment strategy, helping drive the Saudi Pro League’s rapid growth and global profile.
The Saudi Pro League thanked Emenalo for his contributions, while the former executive said he was proud of the foundation laid during his tenure and expressed confidence in the league’s continued development.
Reports indicate that Emenalo is leaving the position to be closer to his family in Europe, with interest in his services already emerging from clubs on the continent.
