Mexico’s legendary goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa has announced his retirement from professional football, bringing an end to a remarkable 22-year career.
The 40-year-old called time on his playing career after representing Mexico at a record six FIFA World Cups, becoming one of only a handful of players to achieve the feat.
Ochoa began his professional career with Club América in 2004 before going on to play for clubs in France, Spain, Belgium, Italy, Portugal and Cyprus, earning widespread recognition for his shot-stopping ability and consistency.
