The APC protesters issued a twenty-four-hour ultimatum to the Commissioner of Police, MUSA KIMO to release fourteen of their members in police custody and to tackle the problem of insecurity in Rivers State.IKENDA CLINTON-ELECHI, who led the APC Youth protest to the State Secretariat of the party on Forces Avenue in Port Harcourt, lamented that young Rivers men are being mindlessly murdered while the police stand aside without doing anything.CLINTON-ELECHI made specific reference to the wave of violent attacks and killings in Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni, Ahoada-East and Ahoada-West, as well as the Ogoni axis of Rivers State.He complained that businesses are crumbling and forced to relocate from the affected communities, causing hardship for inhabitants.The APC Youth Leader called of the federal government to intervene and put an end to the problem of insecurity in Rivers State.IKENDA CLINTON-ELECHI also called on the Judicial Commission of Inquiry set up by Governor NYESOM WIKE to also investigate those who issued threats of violence before the re-run legislative elections.
