Timothy said a child ought to be breast fed for two years to get sufficient nutrient from the breast milk.
He also explained that pregnancy is a stressful process which requires a woman to rest for recovery, before giving birth to another child.
Meanwhile; mothers have also joined in the advocacy for family planning, through the use of contraceptives.
Some mothers who spoke with journalists at the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital, Urban Primary Health Center in Port Harcourt Local Government Area of Rivers state, said the use of contraceptive has dispelled the fear of having unplanned pregnancies.
