The Port Harcourt-based Mayor of Housing, My-ACE China, has extended his entrepreneurship advocacy to Mbo Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, supporting the establishment of an entrepreneurship centre and a vocational skills centre aimed at training and empowering young people in the area.
Joining other stakeholders from Mbo, My-ACE China donated millions of naira to ensure the successful take-off of the craft and training centres. He had earlier contributed to equipping the Mbo Entrepreneurship Development Centre and has now doubled his financial support to sponsor the training and start-up funds for 30 out of the initial 100 trainees.
Delivering his keynote address, My-ACE China, who is also the Managing Director of Construction and Housing Mayor Limited, commended Mbo leaders for their commitment to youth empowerment.
He applauded the Council Chairman, Sunday Okon Etim, for setting what he described as a new benchmark in local governance, emphasizing that any administration unable to lift at least 300 youths out of poverty has failed in its responsibility to the people.
