Manchester United claimed a hard-fought 2–1 victory over arch-rivals Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.
Bryan Mbeumo opened the scoring for United in the 3rd minute, setting the tone for a tense encounter. Liverpool drew level in the 78th minute through Cody Gakpo, but Harry Maguire’s powerful header in the 84th minute restored United’s lead and sealed the win.
The result marks manager Ruben Amorim’s first back-to-back Premier League victories since taking charge. It also represents a rare low point for Liverpool, who have now suffered four consecutive league defeats — their worst run since November 2014 under former manager Brendan Rodgers.
