MADU who spoke from the witness box during his cross examination said his late brother, ALOYSIUS MADU before passing-on, told him at his hospital bed how his wife allegedly used mortar pestle while the sister used a rod to hit him all over his body.
He told the court his late brother allegedly told him that trouble started when he invited his own sister into their home to stay, which his wife was opposed to, leading her to start the quarrel which led to a fight.
MADU said his late brother was allegedly inflicted with serious injuries by his wife, PRINCESS, her sister and two of her brothers, DESTINY and BRUNO and dumped him inside a drainage in front of their compound before a passerby picked him up and rushed him to a hospital where he was confirmed dead.
The incident is said to have happened some time last year in Oyigbo Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The trial Judge, Justice DIEPIRIYE after listening to the witness, adjourned to the 16th and 17th of March for continuation of cross examination.
