Man arrested for largest cyber attack of financial companies in America.

The US national identified as thirty-two-year-old JOSHUA SAMUEL AARON, was detained by FBI and Secret Service agents at New York’s JFK Airport.

AARON is one of three men accused of illegally accessing the personal information of one hundred million people between 2012 and 2015.

The cyber attack affected twelve major US financial institutions, including JPMorgan.

AARON, who had until now, been a fugitive living in Moscow, is due to appear in court to face charges.

In a statement confirming the development, US Attorney PREET BHARARA said JOSHUA SAMUEL AARON allegedly worked to hack into the networks of dozens of American companies.

The statement noted that his action ultimately lead to the largest theft of personal information from US financial institutions ever.

He allegedly acted with other two suspects identified as GERY SHALON and ZIV ORENSTEIN, who are both Israelis.

Both men were arrested in Israel in July 2015, and extradited to the US in June 2016.
