The Makarfi PDP Group made the call against the backdrop of the appeal it filed at the Supreme Court, challenging the judgment of the Court of Appeal in Port Harcourt, which affirmed ALI MODU SHERRIF as the authentic National Chairman of PDP.
Addressing newsmen in Abuja, the spokesman for the group, DAYO ADEYEYE, said sides needed to maintain the status quo pending the determination of the matter before the Supreme Court.
ADEYEYE said there was need for Senator SHERIFF and members of his group to respect the litigation process.
He further alleged that the police appear to have taken side in the matter, which he said could have been influenced by the APC.
