Low Turnout of Voters for Today’s Presidential Election in Kenya

President UHURU KENYATTA has already voted, while his main opposition challenger, RAILA ODINGA is boycotting the poll along with his supporters.
Reports say police have clashed with opposition supporters in different parts of the country, some of whom have been blocking access to polling stations.
Unconfirmed reports say police fired live rounds into the air to disperse opposition supporters in the western city of Kisumu and the Kibera area of Nairobi.
A last minute plot to stop the election was foiled yesterday after the Supreme Court failed to hear a petition by three voters who wanted the poll to be delayed.
The election is also being held without much involvement by international observers due to the tensed security situation in the country.
