Human rights lawyer Chetam Nwala has expressed concern over the slow pace of the Rivers State Government’s Blue Economy project.
He criticised the abandonment of the four-kilometre road project linking Ngo Junction to the Atlantic Ocean, saying its completion would have boosted economic activities and development in the area.
Nwala also urged the state government to maximise its vast coastal resources and shoreline to unlock economic opportunities and transform Rivers State into a major tourism destination.
He called on the government to resolve all issues delaying the project and ensure contractors return to the site.
