LASSA FEVER: Start Enlightenment programmes, Nigerians urge FG

Some respondents gave the advice while speaking on the growing cases of Lassa Fever in the country.

They told correspondent ROSEMARY NWAOBASI that besides the enlightenment programmes, government must also put facilities in place to manage emergencies as well as encourage medical practitioners handling the Lassa fever disease.

Speaking on the health implications of Lassa fever, a Public Health physician at the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital, ALALI ALONI appealed to members of the public to avoid contact with rats, maintain proper hygiene and avoid self-medication.
