Lamidi Apapa Denies Asking Peter Obi To Withdraw From The Presidential Election Tribunal

His denial is coming a day after the embattled Julius Abure faction alleged that Apapa and his team had gone to the tribunal in Abuja to withdraw Obi’s petition challenging the victory of Bola Tinubu.

In a statement by the faction’s Publicity Secretary, Abayomi Arabambi, Apapa accused Abure, whom he said had been restrained by the Abuja high court over confirmed allegations of forgery of court seal, of resorting to blackmail to gain public sympathy.

Apapa also challenged Abure to produce a copy of the letter which he or the Secretary signed to seek the withdrawal of the petition at the tribunal.

He further added that the Labour Party under his leadership stands with Obi in his mission to reclaim his mandate.

Recall that the LP acting National Publicity Secretary, Obiora Ifoh, on a television programme on Tuesday  alleged that the legal adviser of the party, Akingbade Oyelekan have been withdrawing cases of the Labor Party from the tribunals across the country.
