In the lawsuit by a Lagos-based lawyer, JOHNSON ESEZOBO, the court is expected to issue an order of perpetual injunction, restraining the Federal Government and its agents from purchasing vehicle for former Heads of State and their Deputies from any public funds of the federation.
ESEZOBO claims that the 2017 Appropriation Bill sent to the National Assembly for enactment into law, is in violation of Section 14, Subsections 2B of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as amended.
Also joined as defendants are the National Assembly and the Attorney General of the Federation, while the matter has been assigned to Justice JOHN TSOHO, but hearing date has not been fixed.
