Members of the community who spoke during a security meeting at the Divisional Police Officer’s office in Akinima said they are scared of what could happen if nothing was done.
The Paramount ruler of Okarki, Eze ELIJAH LARRY told newsmen that the community has not known peace for the past three months, adding that both he and his kinsmen who worked together against external aggression now live in fear of their own people.
Eze LARRY also alleged that his properties including the traditional stool was burnt and some of his belongings carted away by hoodlums who came after his life because of his intention to attract development to Okarki.
Our correspondent SANDRA KENNETH who visited the area reports that cases of violence has persisted in Okarki with the community town hall and other properties touched by the hoodlums.
