Kenya Polls: Kenyatta warns of electoral violence consequences.

President KENYATTA warned that the government would not tolerate violence between rival camps of supporters in party primaries.

He also warned that candidates involved in violence would be disqualified from standing, in addition to being prosecuted.

The warning comes after two parliamentary candidates were treated in hospital for injuries they sustained in violent clashes.

You will recall that elections in Kenya in 2007 triggered ethnically driven violence that claimed the life of one thousand, two hundred people, as well as displaced half a million from their homes.
