Rights lawyer, O.C HIGHER-KING had informed the court that IFEANYI KALU, GOGO DANIEL-UME and IKADOI MICHAEL have been in detention since 25th of April without trial, in violation of the rights.
O.C HIGHER-KING urged the Court to grant bail to his clients or order the police to arraign them in court or set them free if they could not bring charges against the accused persons.
However; Justice CHARLES WALI urged the lawyer to properly file an application for bail as well as proof of service.
Justice WALI therefore adjourned the case till 15th September for hearing of the bail application.
Speaking to newsmen outside the courtroom, OC HIGHER-KING expressed concern that the police could detain suspects indefinitely without charges.
