Justice Nyako dismiss 6 charges against Nnamdi Kanu.

The charges dismissed by Justice NYAKO include the claims of operating an unlawful society, illegal importation of radio transmitters and researching on how to make improvised explosive devices.

The trial judge said she took the decision to quash the charges because the prosecutor did not present any evidence to back up the claims.

Following the development; the Judge declared that NNAMDI KANU would be re-arraigned on five counts of treasonable felony.

The ruling by Justice NYAKO comes a day after a group led by former Central Bank Governor, Professor CHUKWUMA SOLUDO and a former presidential candidate, Professor PAT UTOMI, demanded an end to the incarceration of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra.

Our correspondent JAMES IGAH reports that the defence lawyer, IFEANYI EJIOFOR, had on the second of January prayed the court to throw out the charges against his client because he had not committed any offence by agitating for Biafra.
