Also; the Joint Operational Areas of the new outfit have been delineated into three sectors and five Operational Bases covering the entire Niger Delta, Ondo and Akwa Ibom States, with the Headquarters in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
Meanwhile; the Nigerian Defence Headquarters has dismissed an online media report about a purported plot by some persons in the military to overthrow the civilian government.
The Defence spokesman, Brigadier-General RABE ABUBAKAR said the report is not only baseless and misleading but a dream of those who do not wish the nation well.
He said the entire Nigerian Armed Forces distant itself from the story, which he described as a mischief that is intended to heat up the polity and cause public apprehension.
