The initiative was borne out of concerns for victims of last weekend flooding, many of whom were sacked from their homes and left in the cold, without clothes, bed and food.
The facilitator of the relief programme, BEKEE ANYALEWECHI, said they were overwhelmed by the trauma of families whose homes were flooded.
He said without the right intervention, residents of the impacted areas could be exposed to water-borne diseases, including cholera.
BEKEE ANYALEWECHI said the group has also designated number 47 Ikwerre Road, at Mile One-Diobu as the reception point for all donations towards assisting victims of the flood disaster.
