It has been alleged that policemen in unmarked vehicles have been driving around Ikwerre Local Government Area in Rivers State.
The Caretaker Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government council, SAMUEL NWANOSIKE made the allegation in an interview with our correspondent, JUDITH EMMANUEL.NWANOSIKE said he was aware that some chieftains of the All Progressives Congress, including a former commissioner and a member of the National Assembly, have acquired hunmerous patrol trucks in a bid to empower political thugs.NWANOSIKE, who is the Assistant Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party in Rivers State, called on the Nigeria Police Force to investigate the allegation.The Ikwerre CTC Chairman urged the APC and its candidates to canvass for votes ahead of the re-run election, stressing that any attempt to intimidate the people will not work.
