The South East Governors Forum had during its meeting in Enugu over two weeks ago, agreed to send emissaries to President MUHAMMADU BUHARI to press for the release of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.
The move was roundly welcomed by various interest groups in the South-East, with Chief GODDY UWAZURIKE, who is the immediate-past President of the pan-Igbo think tank, Aka Ikenga, saying the intervention was better late than never.
However; Chief UWAZURIKE expressed doubt about any positive result from the Governors’ decision to engage President BUHARI on the fate of NNAMDI KANU because of the nature of people who surround the Presidency.
