Bulkachuwa said he called for Buhari’s impeachment, not because he saw him as an inefficient President, but because of the vital issue of security bedeviling the country at the time.
He said despite the Senate’s efforts and corporation to help Buhari fight insecurity, nothing changed, which made the red chamber give a notice of impeachment if the former president failed to perform his duty of keeping the country safe.
The Senator who appeared as a guest on a Television programme said Buhari left the North East better than he met it in 2015, but noted that security situation escalated to other states in the north, including Abuja.
Bulkachuwa however said the former president did not have enough time to address these new security issues, as they arose during his second tenure.
The Senator said Buhari achieved some developmental and infrastructural changes in the country, despite the security challenge faced in his administration, as well as the economy of the country.
