Information from the Rivers State Government House on the purported reactivation of Internally Displaced Persons Camps for flood victims in Ahoada West is not going down well with some stakeholders.
One of the Media Assistants to Governor NYESOM WIKE is reported to have made the disclosure while responding to questions during an interview on a radio programme in Port Harcourt.
ENIATA ABIEBA who is a community leader in Akinima; the headquarters of Ahoada West, told our correspondent that no such structure has been put in place for displaced inhabitants following the recent flooding.
ABIEBA claimed that the much that the state government and other emergency response agencies have done since the flood happened was to send officials to visit the affected areas.
Displaced residents Ahoada West communities are still looking up to the Rivers State Government for relief support as they struggle to recover from losses caused by the flooding.
