The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced plans to hold a mock accreditation exercise in Anambra State to test the upgraded Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) ahead of the November governorship election.
According to a statement by Victoria Eta-Messi, Director of Voter Education and Publicity, the exercise will take place on Saturday, October 25, at selected polling units across the three senatorial districts of the state.
INEC explained that the mock exercise is designed to assess the BVAS’ response time, functionality, and the efficiency of real-time result uploads to the INEC Result Viewing (IReV) portal.
The Commission noted that the test run is part of its ongoing commitment to ensure transparency, credibility, and seamless conduct of the forthcoming election.
