INEC Chairman, Professor MAHMOOD YAKUBU said pending reruns in Kano State will also take place on the same day.
Professor YAKUBU made the disclosure at a national stakeholders’ forum in Abuja.

Responding to criticism over the delay in concluding the elections; the INEC Chairman said the commission would not rush to hold elections without the guarantee of a peaceful atmosphere.
Professor MAHMUD YAKUBU observed that violence affects the speed in the conduct of election; adding that INEC can only conclude outstanding elections in a peaceful environment.
Also speaking at the event, a representatives of the Inspector General of Police, C.P. HABILA JOSHAK, said that the police would apply all available options to ensure peaceful conduct of the elections.
C.P. JOSHAK informed the gathering the police would arrest and prosecute all electoral offenders; just as he appealed to political leaders to educate their supporters on where their rights begin and end during elections.
