The Oyo State governor polled five hundred and sixty three thousand seven hundred and fifty six votes to defeat his closest rival and APC candidate who scored two hundred and fifty six thousand six hundred and eighty five votes.
The incumbent governor defeated his challengers including Labour Party’s Akinwale Tayo as well as a serving senator, Teslim Folarin of the All Progressives Congress.
