The Indian army accused the Pakistani sniper fire of killing one of its soldiers in the Machil sector of Kashmir.
The Indian army said two of its soldiers had been killed in a separate Pakistani attack a day earlier in Naushera sector.
The Army spokesman, Colonel RAJESH KALIA explained that the Indian soldiers retaliated by targeting the Pakistan army posts across the Line of Control.
Pakistan accused India of the ceasefire violation after at least four of its civilians were killed and seven others injured in a cross-border firing.
